Job description:
Institute of Soil Biology and Biogeochemistry (https://www.upb.cas.cz/en/structure/biogeochemistry/) is seeking for a motivated individual with a curiosity for soil processes and a strong inclination towards laboratory and field work related to soil organic matter, soil biology and chemistry, or related environmental disciplines.
The successful candidate will
• perform a variety of soil physical and chemical analyses
• accompany field campaigns for collection of samples and maintenance of experiments
• manage accruing data
Requirements:
Bachelor degree
The ideal candidate should have
• a university degree, previous laboratory experience
• organizational skills, reliability, and a sense of responsibility
• the ability to fluently communicate in English
• good interpersonal skills and effective time management
• B driving licence
• routine in the use of the Microsoft Office work package

Additional information:
The position is initially limited to 1 year, with the possibility for prolongation. We offer full-time position (time reduction possible), start date as soon as possible.
The Biology Centre is located in České Budějovice (2 hours south of the capital Prague), a middle-sized city with ca. 100K inhabitants, relaxed atmosphere, over 750 years of tradition and a breathtaking countryside around. Both the town and the surrounding countryside provide numerous opportunities for research and leisure activities. There is also a growing international expert community at the Biology Centre CAS (BC CAS) and the University of South Bohemia (USB).
